What is it like on the economy class aboard theTaiwan High Speed Rail? What is your experience aboard the HSR?
If you been on either the economy or business class cabin of the High Speed Rail, inform me about the features of the seat. Was the seat comfortable? Were you able to have a descent sleep, rest, or work time? Was the seat clean? Can the seat also recline? Is their a footrest? Is their a tray table, and how big is it? Is their a cup holder or seat pocket? Was the legspace and armspace enough for your standards? Was their enough personal space for you? Is their any onboard wall or ceiling mounted TV screen? What was the feelling like on the Taiwan High Speed Rail? Was it very fast when you looked out the window? Did you feel motion sickness or nauseau or any other health concern. Was the interior clean and was it sanitized enough for your standards? Was their any special service aboard the train, such as stewardesses serving small complimentary snacks? If there is special onboard services, how would you rate them? What was your most favorite part on being aboard the High Speed Rail?
I've ridden from Taichung to Taipei (and back) a few times. Here's my experience from business class (never travelled economy class)
Was the seat comfortable?
Very!
Were you able to have a descent sleep, rest, or work time?
I have only taken it when I had a show to do in Taipei and did not have enough time from when I finished work until when I got to Taipei. As a result, most of my work was completed. I was able to review my notes for the show and relax with a little bit of a book. The whole trip is only about an hour, so don't expect too much work to be done. Whatever you can get in that time frame.
Was the seat clean?
Yes
Can the seat also recline? Is their a footrest?
I think yes to both questions.
Is their a tray table, and how big is it?
Large enough for your snack.
Is their a cup holder or seat pocket?
I honestly don't remember.
Was the legspace and armspace enough for your standards?
Yes. I'm 6'1" so I'm not small and it was very comfortable for me.
Was their enough personal space for you?
Yes
Is their any onboard wall or ceiling mounted TV screen?
No.
What was the feelling like on the Taiwan High Speed Rail?
Fast. If you thought about it. But it's the most comfortable way to travel, in my opinion.
Was it very fast when you looked out the window? Did you feel motion sickness or nauseau or any other health concern.
I didn't feel motion sickness and I am a person that often feels it. Not always feels it, but often.
Was the interior clean and was it sanitized enough for your standards?
Yes. Even for Western Standards, it was clean.
Was their any special service aboard the train, such as stewardesses serving small complimentary snacks?
Complimentary? No. They did have snacks for a price. Nothing big, though.
If there is special onboard services, how would you rate them?
Fine for what they are. A little expensive, but nothing that will break your bank.
What was your most favorite part on being aboard the High Speed Rail?
How comfortable it is. Again, I rode business class. There tend to be less people in the cabin. I'm not sure how the other parts of the train are.
