Getting to your anchored boat or dinghy?
I have to have my little boat secured to a mooring or anchored quite a distance away from the shore. Besides swimming, what other contraptions are out there to get to the dinghy, or to bring the dinghy to me?
I'm hoping there are some creative products out there that don't mean I have to rely on another person being available to hitch a ride with. Like the pumpabike (but something else). The pulley system looks best so far. If I by a tender dinghy for my tender dinghy then I will have to anchor that too and won't be able to get to either!

In this part of the world we use running moorings a lot. If you already have the mooring then just add a nice big ring at the mooring end, and use a line spliced (or tied) into an endless loop passed through this ring with a spliced or lashed loop to draw the boat out and back. On a rocky shore a galvanised post or pipe cemented into a crack in between rocks works. Soft ground just belt in a nice galvanised star dropper in about four feet or more. Tie land end of the loop to post and put a big shanked stainless padlock through the loops of your knot and that will stop all but the most determined of interference. After all if some one really wants your boat they will get it....
Elegant and easy. I would use lead rope to avoid others on the water tangling with your mooring, and I just pressure wash the growth off as required - I always have spares and swap them out regularly so I can examine the line and prevent fraying and parting.
