Do Bass Fisherman Name Their Boats?
Dr. Blue Frog, PhD asked:
My husband has just started getting back into fishing and this question just popped into my head after another day of boat "window shopping". Once I thought about it, I did notice that their isn't a whole lot of room on the back to put a name (even less if you're sponsored) and I don't recall seeing any of the used boats with names on the back.

So, if you're a bass fisherman (or woman) w/ a bass boat:
Did you name your boat?
What did you name it?
btw: I'm specifying bass fishing simply because that's what he's into. Larger boats usually get named (simply because I think its bad luck if you don't, right?)

Comments on Do Bass Fisherman Name Their Boats?
I have never named my boat but idk if it bring good luck but if it does boy i going to name my boat somthing that involes waves or my family and friends
My grandfather, and uncle never named their boats!
They had a few names when those fish got off or broke the line though!! LOL
Edit” my grandfather and uncle were also bass fishers…but of course caught other things as well..and yes, it is considered bad luck to not name a larger boat!
I have named all my bass boats, but have not had the name put on them.
One reason there is not that much room for a name on a bass boat.
I do have a new one ordered and should have it this next week.
Its name “Fire Fly” or “Lighting Bolt”
I have a flat back canoe that i use for bass fishing but i named it coins cuz me my dad and my brother all saved up our coins to get it. Good LUCK!!!
I dont know about bass fisherman but i know one very famous shrimp boat captain who named his vessel.you know who he is and you know what he name his boat
i reckon if you’re gonna go through the trouble of buying the boat go ahead and name it.
Mr. Mozz didn’t. Unless he named it something dirty, and just would rather have me believe it’s nameless.
Or if he named it Phoebe Cates or… who’s that chick from Hand that Rocks the Cradle… I probably wouldn’t hear about it either.
