Sri Lanka are pouring in Australia by boat and plane then claiming asylum. Check this story from the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka of November 8. It is telling a different story to the applicants and the names of its spokesman on the boat as a smuggler wanted! Read this story and give me your opinion. News.com.au/story/0 ,27574,26321146-29277, 00 I am well aware that the boat people represent only 5%. What I'm trying to highlight is that some of these boat people are not refugees! Many are con artists and scammers who try to beat the system at our expense. Antbody not know how many come to India then fly to OZ? Can anyone tell me what percentage of applicants are accepted and resettled and how many are sent home?
The right to seek asylum which Australia acknowledged through international treaties. Once someone looking for their asylum claim is evaluated. If not meet the criteria, which are sent home. Sri Sri Claims High Commissioner, apparently, have been denied by the alleged smuggler. There are two sides to every story. Why not let the authorities investigate allegations and complaints against them. It seems very easy to start a frenzy of hysteria about people poured into the country. These demands of the peoples must be heard and their claims processed quickly. The Sri Lankans sat on an Australian ship in Indonesia should be grateful their lives were saved and get our boat to allow the processing of their claims. They were arrested in an area of responsibility of Indonesia. Those coming waters to Australia should be addressed by Australia.
