Pfd Life Jacket
Pfd Life Jacket
What would my PFD makes it legal in Canada?
There is a law that requires an approved life jacket for each person in a boat. I'm curious so the life jacket has to say in order to be considered "approved" and qualify for life-jacket requirements. My confusion is different, "PFP" lifesaver "and" lifeline "terms. I have a blue body-glove PFD are always in the boat ... but I sure if they would be entitled to count toward the requirement of the law?
What question more cool! I'm in the states, but by boat on the Great Lakes. I always USCG PFD took me for granted. But much more than that. No wonder they get confused. You'll find all the answers http://www.tc.gc.ca/marinesafety/debs/obs/equipment/lifejackets/menu.htm I spoke too soon - not that easy. Yes, life jacket must be approved in Canada, but the GCC is doing nothing more - The TC is, but I can find your labeling requirements. Rather than anything else, I think it's using the UL approval - but that does not mean it does not mean they do not have their own label. Just do not tell me what it is. Sheesh.
